PADI Advanced Open Water Diver and PADI Adventure Diver

The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver allows you under supervision of a PADI professional to gain experience in new dive environment and during new dive activities, to improve your scuba skills and to increase your confidence under water.

Together with your PADI instructor you choose all together five adventure dives, while the deep and underwater navigation adventure dive is mandatory. The content of the adventure dives are similar to the first open water dive of the correspondent PADI Specialty Diver courses. If you should participate in one of these PADI Specialty Diver courses after you finalized your PADI Advance Open Water Diver course, you may receive credit for that and there is no need to do the first open water dive again. The same applies if you are certified in one or another PADI Specialty Diver course before starting your PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course.

he maximum allowed depth for certified PADI Advance Open Water Divers is 30 meters/100 feet. For PADI Junior Advanced Open Water Divers (12 to 14 years) there is the limitation to a maximum deep of 21 meters/70 feet and they must dive with an adult.
